Time for an update

Yes its been too long and I should really be updating this more often, however, life happens and often I get busy with family and things and dont have time. That being said, I am here to comment about my newest class, Marketing and Self Promotion. Quite interesting and fun, were working in Photoshop and it wont be long until I am proficient in that as well. First project is a movie poster, and Ill post a rough of mine at the end of this blog, but a couple of things about the class. I suppose its main purpose is to teach us about marketing ourselves to potenial clients, and promoting our business or employers. This is easy for me, because I already have a huge advantage having been in in home sales and customer service. I understand how to communicate and to above all, LISTEN to people. Thats the most common mistake people make in marketing themselves, and trying to sell themselves, they forget to listen to the customer. When it all becomes about the bottom line, thats when it will all fall apart. Listening is what saves you and earns you respect and repeat business. Doing is the other half of that, the execution. On other notes, Mr. Williams kicked us off the Imacs so his students could use them. Not surprised about that really, but I dont care one way or another, If I have to Ill bring my laptop in and work on it instead. I like my movie poster....feel free to comment on it.
